Caladiums are grown primarily for their foliage and are tender plants that don't handle cold weather. Because of this, many gardeners plant them in pots indoors and then move them outdoors after the danger of spring frost has passed. They also add color and charm to a conservatory or warm sun porch during winter. If not in zones 10-11, dig before frost, dry and store the bulbs in a warm, dry frost-free place.
