It has taken the breeder (Berbee) 30 years to realize this amazing achievement, starting with collecting Amaryllis bulbs at high elevations where frost is common. The result is a line of Garden Amaryllis that is successfully grown outdoors in The Netherlands year round. Each bulb sends out 1 to 2 stems with 3 to 4 deep red blooms on each. Perfect for containers that can be moved indoors to overwinter in colder climates. Can also be forced indoors like traditional Amaryllis.
